MIXED 2D + 3D ANIMATION
VEGA Showcase
A short animation reel repurposed from ‘BOBA Beau’ to be used as the opening introduction to the 2024 RMIT VEGA Graduate Showcase Reel.
The reel integrates 3D and 2D assets, modelled and animated in Autodesk Maya and After Effects. Arnold was used during the rendering phase, and the final composition was executed in Premiere Pro.
Inspired by my love for the sweet taste of Boba tea, this animation shows Beau’s experience when she tries it for the first time and is transported to a citrus world.

Vocational Education Games and Animation
A vocational education program by RMIT for students who are interested in pursuing a career in gaming, motion graphics, animation, interactive design, or visual effects.
As the lead visual designer for this project, my role was to design the intro animation for the end of year student showcase, and design material to promote the program.

Visual Design
A fresh, citrus-inspired color palette was carefully selected to beautifully complement the overall vision for the space. The vibrant hues of lemon yellow, zesty lime green, and tangy orange were intentionally chosen to infuse the environment with an uplifting energy, creating a sense of warmth throughout.
We decided to opt for a bold sans-serif font style and a rounded, bubbly heading to complement the main visual elements.
